Cessna T206
Conversion Offering
Our engine upgrades cover all Cessna T206 models from serial #0001 onward, including TP206 and TU206 series (through TU206G). This conversion replaces the turbocharged TSIO-520 with a normally aspirated IO-550 F engine, maintaining the standard 206’s service ceiling while eliminating the high maintenance costs of a turbo system.
The upgrade includes a “deturbo” parts package with additional induction and exhaust components. Two exhaust options are available:
- Modify the existing exhaust system with induction changes.
- Replace existing exhaust with induction changes.
Propeller Kit Package:
- Includes new propeller, spinner assembly, tachometer, MP/FF gauge, silicone baffling, shock mounts, firewall-forward hoses (firesleeving optional), hardware, placards, and STC paperwork.
- A partial kit is available if you already have a compatible propeller.
If you need a propeller now, we offer a propeller-only option compatible with the IO-550 engine for future upgrades. You can purchase the full IO-550 package later, spreading the conversion over time to align with TBO.
IO-550 Conversion Improvements
- Avoid expensive turbo charged maintenance expense
- Removes extra weight from the turbo charged system
- Standard McCauley 402 Propeller can be used with the IO-550 F engine (with blade angle change
- Engine produces within 200 inch lbs of the TSIO-520 C or M
- 15% More Horsepower at Cruise.
- At normal altitudes, will perform as well if not better than the TSIO-520 installation
